At the New England Pest Management Association’s annual dinner in December, the association presented the 2023 Bartlett W. Eldredge Award to Chris Del Rossi, founder and president of Food and Drug and The Bug

The  award is named in honor of the organization’s founder and first  president and is intended to recognize a pest management professional  who has distinguished himself and demonstrated service to the  association, the pest management industry, local community service, and  who has earned overall respect and recognition by industry peers. 

Del  Rossi founded Food and Drug and The Bug in 2013 after having worked for  JP Pest Services for 22 years. The company has found its niche solely  providing pest and exclusion services to industrial food and medicine  industry clients. 

Tim Francis, field operations manager, Food and  Drug and the Bug, worked with Del Rossi at JP Pest Services and became  the first service technician Del Rossi hired.

“Chris  is just a great guy to work with. He's very flexible, always  encouraging and he wants to develop new ideas on how to approach  situations,” he said. “He supports innovative strategies like using  cameras and all types of different equipment. It’s been a blessing to  work with him.”

Among Del Rossi’s  many contributions to the New England Pest Management Association are  that he helps fellow companies train their staff in servicing food  manufacturers and pharmaceutical plants. “This a true testament to  Chris’s character,” Francis said. “One the many reasons I love working  for FDB is that ‘We don’t just build our business we build  relationships.’”
